Tom Holland and Ciara Bravo. © 2021. Apple TV+ and AGBO. Directed by the Russo Brothers. Watched it on Apple TV+
Quick Review: “Cherry” is the Russo brothers next film after “Avengers Endgame” and it’s not that bad. I appreciate the cinematography and risks they took in making this film. The acting is great, especially from Tom Holland. But the film falls within it’s story. The first hour is good and I liked the military section of the story. But the drugs part is where the story falls off. I felt there’s lack of character development into his story and it felt like there’s no where to go. While I liked the direction it’s going for, it kinda fall flat. But I liked they took risks. The color grading and editing felt off in a bad way. The color grading hold the film’s cinematography and editing a lot. It’s kinda ugly and didn’t fit into some scenes. Some unnecessary scenes and it felt too long. But it picks back up and the ending is….ok. While it’s not the Russo brothers bad film to date, it sure it’s not a fantastic film. It’s a good film but they could’ve fixed some things. But it was very entertaining. Now Streaming on Apple TV+. Vizeit Score: “C+” Copyright © 2022. Vizeit Studios. All Rights Reserved. Review Written By: Everardo Garcia Jr.
